Titania and the Fearies Secret

I uploaded a bunch of artwork that I was going through from the past. I decided to work on this one because it reminded my of William Shakespeare's character "Titania" from Midsummer Night's Dream. I really wanted to keep a lot of the original oil patel textures that really stood out in this piece. the combination of dry and digital media really gives a three dimensional effect to my work. This piece really exceeded my expecations since the orignial was somewhat damaged and withered. I have always been fascinated my the play and story of "Midsummer Night's dream." In the actual piece, Titania is purched on a stone balcony-cracked from the forest weather. Her dress made of aging leaves changing with the seasons cascades over the balcony and droops down against the star-lite sky. Her arms are purched holding a golden fearie exchaning a secret kept from Oberon. Other fearies in the sky hover and dance around her as she is totally engagged in the secret. The full moon's blue light beans mix with the fearie's spark light making Van Gogh inspired swirls in the sky. I truely think this piece is the embodiment of enchantment.
